This copy with brief TLS slip taped to front end paper, reading "One copy of 'Memories' by Mary Louise McLennan for the Department of Education, Fredericton, New Brunswick to be kept as a record especially because of the preface. No copies for sale." Beneath the typescript the editor (the author's eldest sister) has dated and signed the slip ("April 5-1941. Janet Cumming McLennan"). Obviously, a scarce item. Hardcover in navy cloth w/gilt lettering to front cover, forty-five pages, illustrated.
