First printing, w/complete number sequence, of Horvath's multi-award-winning story about a young girl who goes to visit her eccentric great-aunts in Maine. This one scooped up a truckload of awards and recognition, including the National Book Award for Young People's Literature, being named the 2004 Young Adult Canadian Book of the Year, and winning an American Library Associations Best Book for Young Adults Fanfare Award. Additionally, it was a Kirkus Editor's Choice, and made the Horn Book's Honor List, the New York City 100 Titles for Reading and Sharing list, the Publishers Weekly Best Books of the Year list, the School Library Journal Best Books of the Year list, the Chicago Tribune Best Books of 2003 list, and the Washington Post Best Books of 2003 list. Not too shabby. Blue and mustard boards w/blue foil spine lettering, 196 pages, dust jacket illustration by Boris Kulikov. First printings of this one have become pretty scarce.
