This one began as a series of newspaper articles concerned with establishing by due process of law whether a man being kept in protective custody by the state was the serial killer he claimed to be. The publisher called this one "The true crime story of the century," and for the victims and their families, no doubt it was, but there were still more than thirty years go go in that particular century, and up to that point, no one had heard of a nasty little weasel named Manson. 238 pages, cover photograph by Paul Weller. Some slant/roll, edge and corner wear, handling wear.
