Philadelphia Triangle Books/Blue Ribbon 1938 1st Triangle edition Hard Cover Good to Very Good Good to Very Good
The story of a woman (Elizabeth Logan) who marries a man (Sam Campbell) in order to "help her find another man. Her lover, Peter Burgess, had vanished in the vast silences of Southwestern China. He was a prisoner of the great war-lord, Chow-Chan, third in might of all the princes of the East. And on his safe release the peace of the Orient depended. For the tribes were massing in the hills to drive the Westerner into the sea." Red cloth w/black spine lettering/rule, 273 pages. Dusty/tanned/foxed edges, bumped corners, light cover soil, in lightly edgeworn dust jacket w/slightly sunned spine, light chipping to corners/spine ends.
