The story of Walter Dodd [b.1869-d.1916}, who worked as pharmacist for the Massachusetts General Hospital, and who, after learning of Roentgen's discovery, became fascinated with the concept of x-rays. His tireless work and devotion directed toward developing x-ray devices for the hospital would cause him an enormous amount of pain and suffering, and would eventually result in his death. Grey paper over boards, title band to spine, 64 pages, illustrated. Bumped/moderately worn corners/spine ends, impressions, a bit of staining to covers, previous owner's name.
