According to the 'Dictionary of Canadian Biography,' Greenshields was a Canadian businessman and art critic, who wrote two books, 'The subjective view of landscape painting' and 'Landscape painting and modern Dutch artists, both of which promoted the Hague School and viewed Impressionism as having no staying power. This is his only book of poetry. Full leather, gilt spine lettering, raised bands, marbled end papers, unpaginated, printed on rectos only).
