No date (circa 1940). Follows the Kinsey edition published in 1936. The theft of the Emerald Buddha sees an American adventurer in Bangkok pulled into a morass of danger and political intrigue (which is different from a morass of danger and political intrigue in North America, because in North America it's a morass of danger and political stupidity). Red cloth w/Buddha decoration to front cover, 271 pages. A bit of edgewear, 1/4" long x 1/8" deep chip from top spine, light glue stains to pastedowns (cheap glue, cheap paper), light tanning, in lightly edgeworn dust jacket w/sunned (entirely legible) spine, chip from top spine (the same dimensions as the chip to the book), light rubbing, lightly smudged rear panel. Scarce in a dust jacket, and certainly scarce in a decent one.
