This issue contains "A Treacherous Friend" by Beinn-Na-Caillich, Chapter VIII of Captain Douglas Wimberley's "The Hospital of Inverness and Dunbar's Hospital," Part IV of William Mackenzie's "Gaelic Incantations, Charms, and Blessings of the Hebrides," two contributions from Fionn ("An Old Perthshire Song" and "Churchyard Watching," Part III of "Scenes of Long Ago" (this one Glenbeltane), Part III of Dr. Aitken's "The Social Life and Literature of the Borders," "Some Further Curiosities of Gaelic Proof-Reading," by Dr. Donald Masson, "Lines Dedicated to Mrs. Campbell of Dunstaffnage," by Lord Archibald Campbell, and a "New Books" section. Pages 257 through 320 inclusive, advertisement stapled between front cover and first page. Tops of pages 273 through 320 never opened, thus a copy never read in its entirety. Some edge sunning, light edgewear, some moderate staple rust, 1" slit at bottom right spine edge, light chipping to spine ends. This is a very uncommon item, fragile at the best of times, but in this instance fairly well preserved (although I wouldn't reef it open too far or read it in the bathtub). (C/BT)
