Lawson won both the Newbury and Caldecott medals. He died in 1957. Blue cloth w/dark blue illustration to front cover, dark blue spine lettering, 152 pages, illustrated end papers, illustrated. Moderate wear to corners/spine ends, bumped top edge of back cover, faint foxing to top edge, in dust jacket w/light chipping to corners/spine ends, 3/4" diagonal tear to bottom left corner of front panel, light smudging to rear panel, sticker 1.5" x .5" sticker pull to front panel (touching and beneath gull's wing, somewhat disguising the imperfection). Jacket now in protective mylar sleeve. (C/BT)
