A complete four-book series of illustrated guides to what most scientists now believe are the descendants of dinosaurs (don't know about you, but the idea of a roaringly hungry tyrannosaur plummeting out of the sky to check out what I have in the bird feeder makes me think that squirrels aren't that great an imposition). Among the birds described are jays, larks, orioles, grackles, finches, grosbeaks, blackbirds, buntings, warblers, chickadees, kinglets, nuthatches, tanagers, thrushes, waxwings, vireos, gulls, terns, ducks, herons, sandpipers, hawks, eagles, owls, swallows, wrens, hummingbirds, flycatchers, woodpeckers, phoebes, quail, and so on and so forth. Each book has 57 pages, in addition to three pages for notes and four pages of index listings. All volumes with some wear to corners/spine ends, and lightly scuffed covers. An attractive little set.
