The survivor of a lethal virus that has decimated North America and turned humanity into an endangered species must also survive the society resulting from it, but he probably won't have as great a chance as the cowardly President of the United States, who has "fled the White House," and is now "safely concealed in a secret war room," where he sits "watching his country die." (remind you of anyone?). 253 pages + three pages of advertisements for other titles. Moderate spine slant/roll, thin full-length vertical crease to back cover, moderate handling wear, 2" long x 1/4" wide strip cut from top edge of title page (probably a doofus previous owner removing his name -- if you're going to cut it off anyway, why the hell write your name there in the first place?). Despite multiple printings, this is quite a scarce title, especially in a first edition, and in these pandemic days is much sought after in any condition.
