Seven adventures of an Irish washerwoman who enjoys "the fame of her skill at the washtub and the ironing-board," one such adventure seeing her summoned to Cloudland where, in return for "consenting to do the royal laundry," she is "given the power to fly anywhere she wished in her (large washing) basket." (Doesn't seem like much of a reward to me, but then again, I've never been an Irish washerwoman with any particular washtub or ironing skills, so maybe it's the equivalent of a bottle of Scotch and a couple dozen Ding Dongs.) Brown cloth w/gilt spine lettering, 136 pages. Mildly bumped corners/spine ends, minor soil to bottom edge of back cover, previous owner's stamp to front pastedown, tanned/faintly soiled edges, small soil mark to left edge of last end paper, in moderately edgeworn dust jacket w/a bit of chipping to corners/spine ends, a bit of smudging to rear panel, two tape repairs by previous owner to inside top and bottom spine ends.
