Those Days Are Gone Away

By: Reicker, Marion Gilchrist

Price: $15.00

Quantity: 1 available

Book Condition: Good

A history of Queens County, New Brunswick, from its founding in 1643 until 1901, with considerable information about the times and people of the area. Contains much detail of interest to those doing genealogical research in the area. 219 pages + brief biography, illustrated. Abrasion to top right corner of front cover (looks like a price or initials may have been erased), previous owner's name to inside front cover/inside back cover, previous owner's slightly annoyed notation regarding the spelling of the name of the city of Saint John written to top of page 1, another (less annoyed) notation to top of page 2, underlining/marginalia to page 2, partial spine split between pages 146/147, semi-interesting full-page of previous owner's hand-written comments to page 219 bemoaning presentation of history in the book and bigotry in general. For someone just interested in reading for the information presented, the comments may actually be entertaining, as opposed to irritating because they deface the book -- maybe not. But hey, without these defects the price would be double what it is, so if the defects don't bother you, this is the copy you've been looking for; if they do, well, there'll be another copy along in the not-too-distant future, either from me or someone else, I'm sure.
